Beautiful Valley

We are so blessed to live in this beautiful valley. We have a park near our house that overlooks the valley and behind us are the spacious wasatch mountains. I am reminded everytime I go outside that I should never take for granted the valley here that we live in. John and the boys hiked up to a waterfall with his family the other morning. It's a beautiful hike, only a couple miles from our home. The boys love it here and never want to move. I hope we never have to. There are a lot of people who say they will never live in "happy valley" but if only they knew the secret of what makes us so happy. It is a beautiful place to be!

Happy 4th!

We had a wonderful 4th of July this year with both of our families. Enjoying the day with lots of food, laughter, and family. We enjoyed seeing Grandma Fossum who is well into her 90's and still thriving. We were lucky to see relatives who travelled far to celebrate the day and felt blessed to have wonderful conversation with those whom we love so much. It was a long day but packed with goodness! We are glad we have our freedom and had a wonderful time celebrating it!
The highlight of our day was to see our kids react with their cousins. We celebrated Peter's fifth birthday in Highland with John's family. Kurt and Noelle were out here with their kids from North Carolina. Yes, they drove the whole way! The kids had so much fun playing together, they were so exhausted the next day!

Can anyone say "cankles"? My legs were so swollen that my calves blended in to my ankles. The heat is horrible when you're pregnant.

After a fun day with John's family in Highland, we headed down to Liz and David's house for a bbq and to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks. This year Miley Cyrus was the featured artist- a favorite to young girls everywhere.

Before watching the stadium fireworks, uncle David gave us our own show in the front yard. We were laughing at how every firework looks the same- a steaming fountain of colors. But then we realized it's not really for us that we spend our dollars on, but sheer entertainment for the kiddies. We watched the jets fly over the stadium and had a fun time watching the fireworks. The finale is always the best and this year it seemed to be an even greater show than last year. It's fun to meet at the Thompson's house every year because they are so close to the stadium!

Hot Pics

One of my best friends, Becky Maness, is an awesome photographer! We had a fun time when she came down from Idaho to visit the other day. She took a couple close ups of my beautiful boys. Notice, this was after the spray paint issue we had with Enoch. Now he has permanant black fingernails. But I do have to brag that these are some pretty HOT PICS.
